v Report on BEBA's program
¯ Seeing 10-12 families/week
on Tuesday and Wednesday + phone support + new baby at home support.
¯ Ray developing new
structures for working with families: seeing parents by themselves, seeing
father only with child as well as mom-child and parent-child.
¯ Jean and Nancy about to
finish with one family seeing together, seeing one other family each with Ray,
all the rest of families see Ray.
¯ Current videotaping staff:
¤ Philippa
Dinnen, graduate of UK training, taking summer off
¤ Tanis
Marble, SBGI student, not in Ray's training
¯ New staff coming Ð all
will start as videotapers part time
¤ Tara
Blasco, graduate of Foundation Training, craniosacral therapist, polarity
therapist, psychologist from Spain coming to SB for 3 years to study at SBGI,
coming in July. On student visa, cannot be paid anything.
¤ Cheriona
Menzam, O.T., finishing Ph.D. degree in Pre and Perinatal Psychology, on
faculty at SBGI, will take Foundation Training starting April, 2001, moving to
SB and starting in September. Taking c/s therapy course.
¤ Brita
Egg-Henrikson, craniosacral therapist, graduate of Foundation Training, from
UK, coming for several months in January.
¯ BEBA to be featured in SB
Treasures. We postponed until next year since we didn't have the brochure ready
which they asked for.
¯ Ray, Jean, Nancy giving 3
hour presentation June 26th at Great Beginnings, staff meeting.
Great Beginnings, a parent support program including weekly home visits, part
of CALM (Child Abuse Listening Mediation).
¯ Ray and Nancy went to a
Mamatoto group early June. One family called about coming. The money is
stopping them.
¯ Supporting 2 families
where parents are splitting up.
v Families' Payments
¯ Great Beginnings talk may
result is referrals of families with minimal income.
¯ Some families who call
don't start because of the cost.
¯ Most who start at BEBA at
the amount we ask for decide it is worth it and continue. Sometimes they come
less often than therapeutically ideal.
v Financial Report Ð see
Budget
¯ Budget Review Ð see year
to date budget, income and expenses
¤ With the
$9000, BEBA closer to being able to meet its goals.
¤ Before
$9000, BEBA owed Castellinos about $5500 for camcorders, tapes, plus Sandra's
May and June work, phone, copies, etc.
¤ $3500
[$9000 - $5500) will go toward new UPS ($350-$400 backup for computer power
failures), $1000 Filemaker consult [to be done on Sandra's computer], tapes for
sessions ($600-900 bought in bulk to save money) having $800 in account so
don't incur service charge, leaves about $1000 toward other program expenses.
It is not enough to buy a computer, camera or printer/scanner.
Sandra submitted
revised budget submitted to Karuna, slightly different than approved at last
meeting, asking for ok of this budget.
