1.   What's happening in the clinic this summer

á      Currently seeing 5-8 families/week Ð Ray seeing all families. Jean works with 2-3 of them.

á      Nancy took summer off, will start a new family in September.

á      Not many new families Ð in July were up to 12/week, several stopped or went on vacation. Three of families being see are returning after "graduating".

á      Four of current families are single moms.

2.   Ray's goals for himself

á      Follow families he's seeing

á      Train more people

á      Write a book.

á      Calls from 2 families (neither of whom has come to BEBA) and request to be part of Community Resources Directory (spot in the CRIS Directory, on the Internet Directory, referral source on 24 hour help line.

á      Sandra has not yet returned the forms.

4.   Report on Clinic Staff

á      Tara here since early July from Spain. Here at least 3 years. Starting as videotaper, then will become assistant (January), then facilitator when appropriate (a year?)

á      SBGI students Cheriona Menzam, O.T., and Tanis Marble also available to videotape.

á      Brita Eeg-Henriksen coming from UK Jan-Sept 2002 to videotape, then assist

á      Both Tara and Brita are craniosacral therapists.

á      Nancy Greenfield starts SBGI in the fall (3 year program). Wants to do up to one morning a week with BEBA.

á      Jean Weitensteiner available for families, wants higher pay, will continue with families she's started with for $30/visit.

5.   Financial Report from Sandra.

á      Only donations this year $100 from Christie Barrack, about $300 coming from Dorothy Adler's donation to Cars for Causes.

á      $5000 from Karuna and $4000 from Szekely Family Foundation went to camcorder, VCR and operating expenses.

á      Several low income families coming, no longer consistent families paying $150 (there were 2, both finished or about to finish).

á      $1868 in bank if paid Sandra and Jean and $15/session up to present. Have paid ahead for rent other than $15/session, phone and copies til end of the year ($120/month, total $500 for Sept-Dec).

á      We didn't buy UPS (computer backup). Have had no blackouts so put as low priority.

á      No money for new computer but still want to earmark $1000 toward database design. Could do on Castellino computer. Sandra probably won't get to this until 2002.

á      Response to price drop not significant, no overwhelming rush, did allow one single mother to come and probably a pregnant couple to start soon.

á      Families coming: 4 single moms, 3 are paying 0 or $15/session, one family paying $30, one paying $37.50, one paying $67.50; 2 coming short term paying $50 and $75. 1 family paying $150 for once a month visit.
