BEBA Board Agenda January 30, 2003 at BEBA

Attending: Board members Dorothy Adler, Marla van Stein, Christie Barrack, Raymond Castellino, Michael Brightwood, plus Sandra Castellino, Administrative Director and Myrna Martin, consultant.

 

1. Welcome Isaac Dornbush to the board.
2. Minutes of last board meeting Dec 2, 2002 to be approved.
3. Videotape Presentation by Raymond Castellino, Clinic Director
4. Hiring Myrna as a consultant
1. With Sandra she wrote the grant proposal for the CA Endowment Local Opportunities Fund that the board approved in September.
2. She has helped write the annual report, given substantial input on the brochure, on the intake papers and confidentiality and on the observation procedures. Suggest paying her $50 for this work done this past week.
3. Suggest paying her $50/hour for Sandra to consult with her as needed and when Myrna is available for procedural, administrative questions.
5. Approve a budget
6. Proposed future board meetings: first Thursday of the month:

1. Dates

                                                     i.     March 6: 7-8:30 or 9 phone (?) meetings

                                                      ii.     April 3: 7-8:30 or 9 phone (?) meetings

                                                        iii.     May 1: 7-9 pm in person meeting with Myrna Martin.

                                                       iv.     June 12 (2^nd Thursday phone (?) meeting. Phone meeting

2. In person or phone: Phone involves payment for calls. This can be by conference phone, each person pays for a call that is billed at their long distance rate. At 7 cents a minute, 120 minutes is $8.40. Cost to BEBA would be approx $10 each*6 = $60 meeting.
