How You Can Help BEBA

BEBA is a 501(3)c non-profit organization. While we do charge our clients a reasonable fee for some services, we need all the help we can get in order to continue to provide those services. Below is a list of things that BEBA needs, services we are seeking volunteers for, and what money we need to continue our operations. All donations and contributions are tax-deductible.

Things We Need...

  • Office supplies: Pens, copy paper, envelopes, file folders, etc.
  • Couches, futons with covers, and comfy chairs (from homes with no cats).
  • Folding or stackable chairs for small group meetings.
  • Patio tables and chairs.
  • Child-sized table and chairs.
  • Drawing supplies: paper, crayons, magic markers.
  • Ball of all sizes.
  • Symbolic toys (for sand tray play).
  • Pillows of all sizes (from homes with no cats).
  • Camp chairs (for sitting close to the ground).
  • A flat-screen monitor.
  • A small TV monitor or a DVD player with a small monitor.
  • A DVD recorder for making backups of all videotapes.

Volunteers To Help...

  • Create BEBA's Scrapbook for parents who didn't come to the picnic.
  • Create an archive of information on topics of interest to parents: eg, birth nursing, vaccinations, circumcision, discipline. We have lots of clippings and articles that need organizing and then putting in a form that can be checked out by parents. Can be done at home.
  • Organize our video tapes: back up videotapes onto DVDs.
  • Research workers' comp and liability insurance for better rates.
  • Raise funds - be a part of a fundraising committee.
  • Office help: mailings, data entry, filing, updating mailing list, etc.

Volunteers may work flexible hours, for a minimum of two hours. You can come weekly or monthly, or even just for one day. We regret that we cannot have volunteers bring children with them unless the children are old enough to be volunteers themselves.

Monetary Contributions...

We need at least $40,000 this year in donations to operate at our current level, at least double that to expand as we'd like to, and another $50,000 to hire an executive director. Any donations help! Be it $5 or $500, anything you can contribute will help us reach our goals. All donations are of course tax-deductable under as we are a 501(3)c non-profit organization.
